R.Ratanarajah
Currently the Managing Director, his career in Engineering
Started in 1970 at the Mysore University's affilate Institution,
Manipal Institute of Technology in S.India. Alongside the
Electrical Engineering curriculum he streamlined into power
Electronics in 1975, in the final year of the Bachelor of
Engineering Degree. His project thesis was on Thyristor Phase-Controlled
convertors, which was then the prospective beginning of
the application of Power Electronics in the Electrical Industry.
His engineering practise started in Medical Electronics
from 1976-1977 with Medico Teknik Sdn.Bhd., in the maintenance
of ECG Machines and Autoclaves for the KL General Hospital.
From 1978-1983 he worked with Feisco Security Sdn.Bhd. in
the field of electronics security systems for Banking Institutions.
He also worked on an energy saving product development for
the hotels, jointly with a U.K design company ,and was in
Glasgow in 1982.
He was also sent for training to Hamburg, W.Germany to be
trained in the installation and commissioning of the first
two Automatic Climatic Stations in 1983 for the Malaysian
Meteorological Department, located in Sirim Shah Alam and
Mardi Serdang. During this period he acquired expertise
in instrumentation and lightning protection system for the
Electronics.
His working experience with Chubb Malaysia from 1984-1985
included the installation of the building automation system
for Sime darby HQ, and the Bank Negara HQ extension buildings.
His final working experience from 1986-1987 was in electrical
switchboards, control panels and electrical engineering
works with NAM ELECTRICAL Sdn. Bhd. before venturing into business
in 1987.
